The Federation of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Community Organizations hosted a Hong Kong Chiu Chow Festival at Chater Garden from 6 to 10 December 2017. Dr. Ian Chan, MH, Chairman of the Federation, invited a number of guests to the opening ceremony. They included Ir Prof. K.K. Wong, GBS, JP, Member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation; Dr. Yu Kwok Chun, GBS, JP, Chairman and Managing Director of Yue Hwa Chinese Products Emporium Limited, Honorary Permanent President of the Foundation; and Dr. Ma Kai Cheung, SBS, Honorary President of the Foundation. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, attended the ceremony on behalf of the University.
