Dr. David Mong Tak Yeung, Member of the Board of Governors and the Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation, and Mrs. Katherine Ngan Ng Yu Ying, MH, JP, Honorary President of The Chinese Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong, Honorary Permanent President of the Foundation, were awarded Honorary Doctorates by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University on 21 October 2017, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to the advancement of education and to society at large.  Dr. Mong is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Shun Hing Group, while Mrs. Ngan is currently Vice President of the May Cheong Group.
