8 Inspiring creativity and artistic excellence Art-tech initiatives continue to feature heavily in what we do. The pioneering project, “Future Cinema Systems: Next-Generation Art Technologies”, has been awarded HK$35.4 million in funding from the Innovation and Technology Commission of the HKSAR Government. The funding supported the establishment of the Visualisation Research Centre which is home to the world’s first 360-degree immersive LED Visualisation Cinema and the 180-degree iDome Cinema. These signature events deployed cutting edge AI technologies to create the first human-machine collaborative performance of its kind in the world, and restored an old silent film in a stunning performance together with the HKBU Symphony Orchestra. The establishment of the Turing AI Orchestra also paved the way for more art co-creation by humans and AI. 大學於 2022 年和 2023 年舉行的周年音樂 會,也呈現了藝術與科技可以如何無縫融 合。我們在這個年度盛會運用尖端人工智能 技術,聯同浸大交響樂團創造全球首個人機 共創共演的同類表演,並將默劇電影復修, 轉化成引人入勝的藝術表演。圖靈人工智能 交響樂團的成立,亦為更多人機共創的藝術 作品創造條件。
