49 In Memoriam 永遠懷念 In Memoriam 永遠懷念 The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mr. Chan Wai Nam, BBS, donor of the University, on 20 March 2023 at the age of 106. Mr. Chan is a renowned Chiu Chow leader and a distinguished patriotic entrepreneur and philanthropist in Hong Kong. In addition to founding the Federation of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Community Organizations that strives to unite the Chiu Chow community at home and abroad, he served as President of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Chamber of Commerce Limited and Chairman of the Chuang Shih Ping Foundation. He thereby upheld his lifelong commitment to facilitating cultural exchanges between Hong Kong and Mainland China and promoting the development of his hometown and the motherland. A dedicated supporter of charitable causes, he spared no efforts in supporting education and promoting traditional arts and culture through funding a number of universities and Sinology studies in Hong Kong and Mainland China. He will always be remembered for his remarkable contributions to the University, Hong Kong and the country at large. 香港浸會大學捐款人陳偉南先生， BBS 於 2023 年 3 月 20 日辭世，享年 106 歲，基金同仁深表哀悼。 陳先生是香港著名潮籍僑領、傑出的愛國企業家和慈善家。他除了創立香港潮屬社團總會，竭誠團結海內外潮籍人士外，  還曾擔任香港潮州商會會長、莊世平基金會主席，畢生致力於促進內地與香港的文化交流，推動家鄉乃至祖國的發展。他熱 心公益，生前捐助多所中港大學和國學研究，不遺餘力地支持教育事業及推廣傳統藝術文化，建樹良多。大學同仁定必銘記他 對浸大、香港及國家的非凡貢獻。 Mr. Chan Wai Nam, BBS 陳偉南先生， BBS The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mr. Michael Choi Ngai Min, BBS, JP, Sponsoring Member of the HKBU Foundation, on 14 May 2023. He was 65 years old. Mr. Choi was a graduate of HKBU and the former Director and Senior Vice-President of Henderson (China) Investment Co. Ltd. He played a pivotal role in the real estate industry for over 40 years, making significant contributions with his extensive experience notably in the real estate markets in Hong Kong and Mainland China. As an outstanding leader with a passion for community service, he held key positions in the community including as Vice-President of the Hong Kong Real Property Federation, Member of the Long Term Housing Strategy Steering Committee and the Hong Kong Housing Authority. He will always be remembered for his invaluable contributions to the University, Hong Kong as well as to the Nation. 香港浸會大學基金贊助會員蔡涯棉先生， BBS ， JP 於 2023 年 5 月 14 日辭世，享年 65 歲，基金同仁深表哀悼。 蔡先生是浸大校友，為前恒基（中國）投資有限公司董事兼常務副總裁，從事房地產業務逾 40 年，有豐富香港及內地房地產 市場經驗。他不僅是傑出領導者，還熱心參與社會服務，曾擔任多個公職，包括香港房地產協會副會長、長遠房屋策略督導 委員會委員及香港房屋委員會委員。大學同仁定必銘記他對浸大、香港及國家的傑出貢獻。 Mr. Michael Choi Ngai Min, BBS, JP 蔡涯棉先生， BBS ， JP
