21 University’s Recent Developments 大學最新發展 With the generous donation of the Tencent Charity Foundation, the School of Chinese Medicine (SCM) was the first organisation to offer free online consultation, integrated Chinese medicine prevention, treatment and medicine delivery services to COVID-19 patients during the disease’s fifth wave. In addition, more than 20,000 packages of the Chinese Medicine Immunity Enhancement Remedy prescribed by SCM were distributed to elderly homes and NGOs, helping boost the immunity of the public. 獲騰訊公益慈善基金會慷慨捐助,中醫藥學院為首間機構 於第五波疫情期間向確診者提供免費網上診症、綜合中醫 預防、診治及送藥到戶服務。另一方面,大學再向安老 院舍及社福機構免費送出超過 20,000 劑由中醫藥學院處方 的「浸大防感方」,幫助大眾增強免疫力。 Supported by the Hong Kong Community Anti-Coronavirus Link, with funding allocated from the donation made by the Hong Kong office of the Everbright Group to the Link, SCM launched the Everbright Care • Long COVID Chinese Medicine Rehabilitation Programme. This provided free long COVID consultation services and Chinese medicine to patients who have been hospitalised and have recovered from COVID-19 and people aged 65 or above who have recovered from COVID-19. 獲光大集團駐港機構捐贈予全港社區抗疫連線的撥款 支持,中醫藥學院推出「光大關愛 • 長新冠中醫康復計 劃」,讓浸大中醫師為曾因新冠病毒病而入院並已經康復 的人士、 65 歲或以上、曾患新冠病毒病並已經康復的長 者,提供免費的「長新冠」診症服務和中藥治療。 Appointed by the HKSAR Government as one of the operators of the Kai Tak Holding Centre, HKBU sent a team of Chinese medicine practitioners to provide Chinese medicine- based treatment services to the elderly with mild COVID-19 symptoms. In addition, staff and students of HKBU’s Nursing programme contributed to the community-wide efforts to fight the pandemic by assisting in the Government’s vaccination and specimen collection schemes. Others provided nursing care to the elderly in the community isolation facility or answered questions from hotline callers who had tested preliminary positive for the disease. 浸大獲政府委任為啟德暫託中心的營運機構之一,並派出 中醫師隊伍,為入住的新冠病毒輕症長者,提供以中醫為 主的治療服務。另一方面,浸大護理學課程的師生亦參與 全城抗疫,包括參與支援政府的疫苗接種和檢測採樣的工 作,或於暫託中心為長者提供護理服務和接聽新冠初確患 者的查詢熱線。 Professor Jeffrey Shaw, Chair Professor of the Academy of Visual Arts, led a team to create installations for the Hong Kong Palace Museum using new media techniques to showcase the historical artefacts in a contemporary manner. One of the installations, entitled Dreamscape of the Qianlong Emperor , presents an imaginative narrative of the Qing emperor dreaming of his deceased wife Lady Fuca.
