52 The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Dr. the Hon. Robin Chan Yau Hing, GBM, GBS, JP, Honorary University Fellow (2010) and Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, on 18 April 2022. He was 90 years old. Dr. Chan was a regionally renowned financial and business magnate and a patriot who devoted his life to serving the country and the city through various public service roles. His extraordinary achievements in fostering the development of Hong Kong and the Mainland, strengthening exchanges and ties with overseas compatriots as well as promoting Chinese culture, earned him the Gold Bauhinia Star and the Grand Bauhinia Medal from the HKSAR Government. Dr. Chan was also a renowned philanthropist. Under his leadership, his conglomerate was actively involved in charitable causes, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare. In addition, he was a committed supporter of HKBU, and made numerous donations to the University since 1993, benefitting thousands of students through his contributions to scholarships and the University’s advancement. Dr. Chan will always be remembered for his remarkable contributions to the University, Hong Kong, and the country at large. The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Dr. Sam Wong Chun Sing, MH, SBStJ, Director of the HKBU Foundation, on 31 March 2022. Dr. Wong, Chairman of the New Territories General Chamber of Commerce and Managing Director of Chun Wah (H.K.) Group Limited, served as Chairman of the Chamber since the 1990s. During his dedicated service to the Chamber, Dr. Wong acted as a bridge between the business sector, the local community and the HKSAR Government. He also put great efforts into facilitating community work and educational causes to help the disadvantaged. He will always be remembered for his invaluable contributions to the University and society at large. 香港浸會大學 2010 年榮譽院士及香港 浸會大學基金榮譽主席陳有慶博士, GBM , GBS , JP 於 2022 年 4 月 18 日辭 世,享年 90 歲,基金同仁深表哀悼。 陳博士為享譽亞洲的金融業及企業界 鉅子,他一生熱愛祖國,多年來藉擔 任不同公職為國為港服務,亦致力推 動內地與香港的發展,加強與海外僑 胞的交流聯繫,弘揚中華文化,成就 之高,使他先後獲香港特區政府頒授 金紫荊星章及大紫荊勳章。陳博士亦 是一位著名慈善家,其麾下集團積極 參與公益事務,對教育與醫療方面的 建設尤其重視。其中,他對浸大關愛 有加,自 1993 年起向本校捐資無數, 設立獎學金及推動大學發展,惠澤萬 千學子。大學同仁定必銘記陳博士對 國家、香港及浸大的非凡貢獻。 香港浸會大學基金會董王振聲博士, MH , SBStJ 於 2022 年 3 月 31 日辭世,基 金同仁深表哀悼。 王博士為新界總商會主席兼振華(香 港)集團有限公司董事總經理,早於 90 年代開始出任新界總商會主席, 在任期間一直認真踐行商會宗旨,積極 擔當商界、地區人士及香港政府之間 的聯繫橋樑,並大力推動社區工作及 教育事業,扶助弱勢社群。大學同仁 定必銘記他對浸大及社會所作出的寶 貴貢獻。 Dr. the Hon. Robin ChanYau Hing 陳有慶博士 Dr. SamWong Chun Sing 王振聲博士 The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mr. Lam Lou, Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation, on 15 March 2022. Mr. Lam was a graduate of HKBU and the former Superintendent of Correctional Services of the Hong Kong Correctional Services Department. He was dedicated to serving society and promoting moral education for the young generation. As Director of the Inner Mongolia Xinganmeng Education & Economic Development Association, he connected the Association with the University in providing a donation for the establishment of scholarships for students from Inner Mongolia to receive whole person education at HKBU. Mr. Lam will always be remembered for his staunch support for the University’s development. 香港浸會大學基金榮譽會董林珋先生 於 2022 年 3 月 15 日辭世,基金同仁深表 哀悼。 林先生為浸大校友,是前香港政府懲教 署懲教事務監督,一直熱心服務社會, 積極參與青少年德育工作。林先生為內 蒙古興安盟教育經濟發展促進會理事 時,透過促進會捐資支持浸大發展,頒 發獎學金,資助內蒙古學生到本校接受 全人教育。大學同仁定必銘記他對浸大 發展的鼎力支持。 Mr. LamLou 林 先生
