University’s Recent Developments 大學最新發展 17 Together with the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau and Alliance Française Hong Kong, the Faculty of Arts held “The Age of Robots” exhibition on campus. Apart from displaying works by French artist Yves Gellie, related performances and creative works by HKBU students were shown. “The Robot Empathy and Human Vulnerability” forum was also held to explore the relationships between artificial intelligence, ethics and the public good. 文學院與法國駐港澳總領事館及法國文化協會合作， 於浸大校園舉辦「機械人時代」作品展，展出法國藝術家 Yves Gellie 的作品和浸大學生的相關創作；以及「機械同理 心與人性的脆弱」研討會，探討在機械人時代中，人工智 能、道德及公眾利益的關係。 Quality Teaching and Learning 優質教與學 Dr. Tushar Chaudhuri, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Government and International Studies, was bestowed with the University Grants Committee Teaching Award 2019. Among the innovative and hi-tech teaching projects he has developed, his telecollaborative learning framework is particularly impressive. Involving more than 1,000 students from 40 countries, it enables students to engage in real-life communication in German with overseas partners. 政治及國際關係學系高級講師 Tushar Chaudhuri 博士獲大學 教育資助委員會頒發 2019 年教資會傑出教學獎。在他設計的 創新學習模式中，其網上遠程協作外語電子學習計劃尤為出 眾。該計劃讓來自 40 個國家逾 1,000 名學生能與海外同儕以德 語作日常交流。 Led by the Centre for Holistic Teaching and Learning, a team of teachers from four local universities received the Highly Commended Team Award from the Association for Learning Technology at the Learning Technologist of the Year Awards 2019. The Centre’s award-winning project demonstrates an innovative approach to the teaching and learning of academic integrity and ethics through the use of augmented reality and mobile technologies. Professor Cheung Siu Yin of the Department of Sport and Physical Education represented the team to receive the award. 由全人教育教與學中心領導、本港四所大學老師組成的團隊 獲英國學習科技協會頒發 2019 年度學習科技專員獎「高度表 揚獎（團隊）」殊榮。該得獎項目利用了增強現實技術和流 動裝置，以創新方式加強學生對學術誠信與道德的認識。 體育及運動學系張小燕教授代表團隊接受獎項。 HKBU strives to enhance the intercultural competencies and global perspectives of students through campus internationalisation, exchange programmes and overseas placements. In the past three academic years, the University welcomed 716 international exchange students and sent 1,158 local students abroad. In addition, 94 full-time overseas undergraduates were admitted.
