Lensing Ceremony of Century Masters – Professor Jao Tsung-i

Documentary series Century Masters – Professor Jao Tsung-i kicked off its shooting recently to pay tribute to the late revered sinologist Professor Jao Tsung-i, GBM. The documentary will introduce the life of Professor Jao as well as his contributions, with focuses on his vast amount of knowledge, his prudence in research and his determination to promote Chinese culture. Professor Jao was a supportive donor of HKBU and was an Honorary Permanent Director of the Hong Kong Baptist University Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology.

Held on 18 October 2018, the lensing ceremony was officiated by a number of honourable guests, including The Hon. Mrs. Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet Ngor, GBM, GBS, Chief Executive of the HKSAR; Mr. Wang Zhimin, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the HKSAR; and Professor Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor.

Members of the HKBU Foundation and HKBU representatives attending the ceremony included Dr. Simon Suen, BBS, JP, and Mrs. Mary Suen; Mrs. Susan So, BBS; Mr. Lam Cheung Chuen and Mrs. Lam; Dr. Tang Wai Hung and Ms. Angeline Yiu, Honorary Patrons of the Development Committee of the HKBU Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation.
