Mr. Huang Xiang speaks on E-Sports, Development and New Technology in Game Industry
Mr. Huang Xiang, Chief Technology Officer of Gala Sports Ltd. and Digital Blockchain Technology Limited, donor of the University, was invited by the Department of Computer Science as guest speaker in the Industry Talk Series. Mr. Huang gave a talk entitled “E-Sports, Development and News Technology in Game Industry” on 11 October 2018. The talk drew a full house of over 100 participants including staff and students.
Founded by Mr. Huang, Gala Sports Ltd. is the second largest sports games company in Greater China. Mr. Huang indicated that the game industry in the world grows rapidly, and video games have gradually become a mainstream form of entertainment. Some of the e-Sports have even been used as a tool for training in space exploration and professional medical services. He believed that as technology continues to evolve, the latest cutting-edge technology developed from the game industry may help explore knowledge and even improve human life.
