A dinner reception in honour of the 90th birthday of Dr. Tan Siu Lin, SBS, Chairman of the Tan Siu Lin Foundation, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, and Founder and Chairman of Luen Thai Group Limited was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 20 September 2018.

The banquet was well attended by around 1,500 distinguished guests.  A number of HKBU representatives also joined the occasion to extend their heartiest congratulations to Dr. Tan. They included Professor Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor; Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development) and Director of the Clinical Division of the School of Chinese Medicine; Professor Clara Ho, Head of the Department of History; Professor Mak King Seng, Director of the Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies; Dr. James Yang, Centre-in-Charge of the HKBU-Jockey Club Chinese Medicine Disease Prevention and Health Management Centre cum Senior Lecturer of the Clinical Division of the School of Chinese Medicine; Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation; Professor Chow Kai Wing and Professor Lee Kam Keung of the Department of History.
