Hip Shing Hong celebrates its 70th Anniversary
Hip Shing Hong (Holdings) Company Limited (Hip Shing Hong) hosted its 70th Anniversary Celebration Dinner at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong on 8 August 2018. Officiated by Dr. Henry Fong Yun Wah, GBS, MBE, JP, Chairman of Hip Shing Hong and Honorary Trustee of the HKBU Foundation as well as a number of dignitaries and honourable guests, the ceremony was well attended by over 400 guests. Professor Roland T. Chin, President and Vice-Chancellor, and Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development), also joined the Dinner on behalf of the University.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Fong indicated that in the past seven decades, Hip Shing Hong has overcome a number of turbulent challenges and gained valuable experience, laying a solid foundation for the Company. He hoped that Hip Shing Hong will continue to prosper and uphold its philanthropy tradition, thereby contributing to the prosperity of Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Founded in 1948, Hip Shing Hong is an astute property developer based in Hong Kong. With 70 years of extensive experience in the industry, Hip Shing Hong has actively developed, built and acquired a well-diversified portfolio of properties. It has started fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities since the early 1960s. Through the Fong Shu Fook Tong Foundation and the Fong’s Family Foundation, Hip Shing Hong donates 10% to 15% of its profits every year to support various charitable causes.
