Dr. Eric Li Ka Cheung, GBS, OBE, JP, Member of the Board of Governors and Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation, was re-appointed by the HKSAR Government as Chairman of the Legal Aid Services Council (LASC), while Ms. Connie Wong Wai Ching, SBS, JP, Member of the Board of Governors and the Entrepreneur Committee as well as Honorary Permanent President of the Foundation, was recently re-appointed as Lay Member of LASC. These appointments will take effect from 1 September 2018 to 31 August 2019. Dr. Li is currently Senior Partner of Li, Tang, Chen & Co., while Ms. Wong is currently Managing Director of Wong Sun Hing Limited.
