Two Foundation Members and three donors appointed as Members of Commission on Poverty

Two members of the HKBU Foundation and three donors of the University were recently appointed as Members of the Commission on Poverty (CoP) by the HKSAR Government. Ms. Christina Lee, Member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation and Director of Wofoo Social Enterprises and Wofoo Foundation Limited, was appointed as Non-official Member of CoP and Member of the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund Task Force for the Commission. Professor Siu Wai Sum, Senior Member of the HKBU Foundation and Professor of Department of Marketing of HKBU; Ms. Cecilia Ho Chung Chee, President of the Lee Hysan Foundation, and Mr. Michael Wong Yick Kam, MH, JP, Chairman of the Council of The Open University of Hong Kong, donors of the University, were appointed as Co-opted Members of the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund Task Force. Mr. Cheung Leong, Executive Director, Charities and Community of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, founder of The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, was appointed as Co-opted Member of the Community Care Fund Task Force. Their appointments will take effect from 1 July 2018 to 30 June 2020.
