Marking its 50th Anniversary, HKBU’s School of Communication held a reunion dinner on 29 June 2018. Over 250 guests including HKBU Foundation members Ms. May Chan Suk Mei, SBS, JP, Mr. Peter Kwan Wai, Mr. Tavier Lau Chi Kuen, JP and Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Mok Siu Kwong, as well as alumni and friends from the industry attended the dinner to celebrate this memorable milestone.

Mr. Cheng Yan Kee, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Council and the Court; Professor Rick Wong, Vice-President (Research and Development); Dr. Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning); Mr. Andy Lee, Vice-President (Administration) and Secretary; Professor Huang Yu, Associate Vice-President (Mainland); Professor Liu Jiming, Associate Vice-President (Research); Mr. Yeung Chee Kong, Associate Vice-President (Engagement); Professor Alice Lee, Head of the Department of Journalism and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, also joined the celebration.

From the Department of Communication in 1968 to the School of Communication today, over 10,000 graduates have been nurtured, taking pride in their competence and the respect they won from the community.
