The Federation of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Community Organizations hosted its 9th Term Inauguration Ceremony at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 23 May 2018. Dr. Ian Chan, MH, Chairman of the Federation as well as over 2,000 dignitaries and honourable guests including The Hon. Mrs. Carrie Lam, GBM, GBS, Chief Executive of the HKSAR; Dr. Yu Kwok Chun, GBS, JP, Chairman and Managing Director of Yue Hwa Chinese Products Emporium Limited, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation; Dr. Robin Chan, GBS, JP, and Dr. Ma Kai Cheung, SBS, Honorary Presidents of the Foundation; and Dr. Dennis Ng, BBS, MH, Member of the Entrepreneur Committee, officiated the ceremony. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, attended the reception on behalf of the University.
