A number of Members of the HKBU Foundation made cameo appearances in the play “Our Town”, which was staged at Sunbeam Theater in North Point on 12 November 2017. The charity show was presented by the HKBU Century Club, in which the net proceeds after deducting all expenses were to be used in support of the University’s advancement. Members of the Foundation who have appeared on the show included Dr. Justin Chiu, Mr. Kent Tsui, Ms. Katie Chan, Ms. Esther Wong and Ms. Yoki Chan. Many other Members of the Foundation came to show their support and enjoy the performance.

The show also intended to pay tribute to Mr. Chung King Fai for his enormous contribution to the development of performing arts in Hong Kong as well as for celebrating his 80th birthday. “Our town”, written by an American playwright Thornton Wilder, won a Pulitzer Prize in 1938. The current play was co-produced by alumnus Mr. Cheung Chi Kok and Ms. May Fu, and was performed by a group of leading actors and actresses.
