Mr. William Leung Wing Cheung, SBS, JP, Chairman of the Alumni Committee and Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, was awarded an Honorary Doctorate by The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts on 23 October 2017, in recognition of his significant contributions to promoting performing arts as well as to the betterment of the community. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of HKBU Foundation, attended the ceremony to congratulate Dr. Leung. Dr. Leung is currently Chairman of Employees Retraining Board.
