Dr. Li Ka Cheung Eric, GBS, OBE, JP, Member of the Board of Governors and Honorary Director of the HKBU Foundation, was re-appointed as Chairman of the Legal Aid Services Council of the HKSAR for a two-year term from 1 September 2016 to 31 August 2018.

Dr. Li was also re-appointed as Chairman of the Independent Commission on Remuneration for Members of the District Councils of the HKSAR for a three-year term from 1 August 2016 to 31 July 2019.
