Bank of China (Hong Kong) and HSBC Hong Kong honoured with HKADC Arts Sponsorship Award
The 19th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards Presentation Ceremony, organised by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council (HKADC), was successfully held on 10 June 2025. Seven categories of awards were presented to local artists, groups, schools, and organisations in recognition of their exceptional achievements and contributions to the arts and culture sector.
Bank of China (Hong Kong) Limited (BOCHK) and The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC) were honoured with the “Award for Arts Sponsorship” for their respective initiatives, namely the “BOCHK and Hong Kong Palace Museum Arts and Culture Promotion Project”, and “HSBC Hong Kong and M+: Making contemporary visual culture more accessible in Hong Kong”. Both the BOCHK Charitable Foundation and HSBC, as Honorary Permanent Presidents of the HKBU Foundation, have supported the University’s advancement across diverse domains over the years.
The ceremony was attended by a distinguished gathering of leaders, including notable members of the HKBU community. Among them were The Hon. Kenneth Fok, JP, Chairman of HKADC and Honorary University Fellow of HKBU; Dr. the Hon. Wilfred Wong, GBM, GBS, JP, Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation; Dr. Chloe Suen, Co-Chairman of the Young Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation; and Professor Jeffrey Shaw, Chair Professor at the Academy of Visual Arts and Director of the Visualization Research Centre.
