Dr. Simon Suen, BBS, JP, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, was conferred Honorary Fellowship by the Beijing Normal-Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) on 8 June 2025, in recognition of his remarkable professional accomplishments, distinguished contributions to society, and staunch support for BNBU.

Dr. Suen, Founder of SML Group, currently serves as Honorary Director of the Mr. Simon Suen and Mrs. Mary Suen Sino-Humanitas Institute of HKBU and Founding President of the Development Committee of Jao Tsung-I Academy of Sinology.
