The Inauguration Ceremony of the 58th Term Board of Directors of Yan Chai Hospital was held at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong on 25 April 2025. Officiated by Professor Lo Chung Mau, BBS, JP, Secretary for Health; The Hon. Alice Mak Mei Kuen, SBS, JP, Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs; and The Hon. Chris Sun Yuk Han, JP, Secretary for Labour and Welfare, the event marked the formal installation of Mr. Gary Chu Tak Wing, MH, as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors.

The ceremony was followed by a gala dinner, with Dr. Horace Cheung Kwok Kwan, SBS, JP, Deputy Secretary for Justice, serving as the guest of honour. Distinguished attendees included members of the HKBU Foundation and friends of the University, such as Mrs. Mary Suen, MH; Mrs. Susan So, SBS, BBS; Professor Alice Chiu, BBS, JP; Dr. Maggie Choi; Ms. Portia Chow; Miss Linda So; and Ms. Carmen Yim. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, attended the event on behalf of the University.
