Dr. the Hon. Wilfred Wong, GBM, GBS, JP, Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Governors and Honorary President of the HKBU Foundation, was re-appointed by the HKSAR Government as Chairman of the Hong Kong Film Development Council. Concurrently, Mr. Paulo Pong Kin Yee, BBS, JP, Honorary Court Member of HKBU, was re-appointed as a member of the Council. Their re-appointments took effect from 1 April 2025 for a term of two years.

Dr. Wong is currently Executive Vice Chairman and Executive Director of Sands China Ltd., while Mr. Pong is Managing Director of Altaya Group International Limited.
