Sun Museum celebrates 10th anniversary with “Colours of the Universe” exhibition

Sun Museum, funded by the Simon Suen Foundation, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, is hosting an exhibition, entitled “Colours of the Universe: Jade and Colour Stone Carvings from the Little Moon Pavilion and Songde Tang Collections”, in celebration of its 10th anniversary.

The Opening Ceremony was held on 19 March 2025, officiated by Dr. Louis Ng, Museum Director of the Hong Kong Palace Museum and Council member of HKBU; Mr. Andrew Lai and Mr. Timothy Lai, representatives of the exhibition’s collectors; Dr. Chloe Suen, Chair of the Simon Suen Foundation and Founder of Sun Museum; and Dr. Lesley Lau Fung Ha, Director of Sun Museum. Also in attendance were Mrs. Mary Suen, MH, Vice Chairman of ASL Group and member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation. 

The “Colours of the Universe” exhibition showcases a collection of 120 jade and stone carvings from the Song to Qing dynasties, as well as five brand-new paintings created by experienced local artist Mr. John Wong in response to the exquisite exhibits.
