The inauguration ceremony of the 12th-term Board of Directors of the Federation of Hong Kong Chiu Chow Community Organizations was grandly held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 16 January 2024. Officiating guests included The Hon. John K.C. Lee, GBM, SBS, PDSM, PMSM, Chief Executive of the HKSAR; The Hon. Mrs. Carrie Lam, GBM, GBS, JP, former Chief Executive of the HKSAR; Mr. Wang Songmiao, Secretary-General of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in HKSAR; Mr. Chan Kwok Ki, GBS, IDSM, JP, Chief Secretary for Administration; Mr. Eric Tsang Kwok Wai, GBS, IDSM, JP, Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs; Dr. the Hon. Bunny Chan, GBM, GBS, JP, Chairman of the Federation; and Dr. the Hon. Peter Lam, GBM, GBS, President of the Supervisory Board of the Federation.

Around one hundred guests attended the celebratory event. HKBU Foundation members have been invited to join the event, including Mrs. Susan So, SBS; Dr. Christina Lee, MH; Dr. Allen Shi, SBS, MH, JP; Ms. Annie Cheung; Mr. Barry Lam, MH; Dr. Dennis Ng, SBS, MH; and Dr. Wong Shu Yui. Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation, joined the event on behalf of the University.
