Dr. the Hon. Kennedy Y.H. Wong, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Board of Governors and Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation; and Dr. Sunny Chai Ngai Chiu, SBS, JP, Honorary Fellow of HKBU and Chairman of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, donor of the University, were appointed as Members of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council with effect from 1 February 2024 and 1 January 2024 respectively. Dr. Wong is currently Managing Partner of Philip K.H. Wong, Kennedy Y.H. Wong & Co.
