A meeting was held at the University on 3 January 2024 between Dr. Amen Ng, Honorary Chief Executive Officer of Win Chuen Charitable Fund, and HKBU representatives, including Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of HKBU Foundation; Professor Henry Fock, Director of Student Affairs; and Dr. Lisa Lam, Director of the Centre for Innovative Service-Learning.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on service-learning, student entrepreneurship programmes, financial support for students and other possible collaborations.

Win Chuen Charitable Fund made a generous donation to HKBU last year for the establishment of the “Win Chuen Charitable Fund Bursary” to provide support for needy undergraduate students. Adhering to the principle of giving back to society, Win Chuen Charitable Fund was established in early 2023 to foster charitable work that improves education and alleviates poverty for the benefit of the community. It is currently recognised as Honorary Vice-President of the HKBU Foundation.
