The University recently received a further generous donation of HK$100,000 from Ms. Chow Sak Ying, School Manager of Kowloon Sam Yuk Secondary School, to top up the “Chow Sak Ying Scholarship”. The Scholarship was established in 2019 to recognise and reward outstanding full-time undergraduate students of the School of Chinese Medicine in financial need. Starting from the academic year 2023-24, the number of scholarship awardees will increase to two annually, and each of them will be awarded HK$5,000. More students will be provided with the financial assistance they need to focus on their studies and pursue academic excellence.

In recognition of the donor’s generosity, an agreement signing ceremony officiated by Ms. Chow Sak Ying and Professor Henry Fock, Director of Student Affairs, was held on 23 June 2023. The ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Albert Chau, Vice-President (Teaching and Learning) and Acting Dean of Arts; and Mrs. Lily Chan, Director of University Advancement and Secretary-General of the HKBU Foundation.
