The University received generous donations from Professor David Lee Ka Yan, BBS, MH, CStJ, JP, Member of the Council and the Court of HKBU and a paediatrician, designated for supporting the University’s Chinese medicine clinical research and its preparatory work for the operation of Hong Kong’s first Chinese Medicine Hospital as well as the University’s strategic development.

Professor Lee was glad to see HKBU being appointed by the HKSAR government as the operator of Hong Kong’s first Chinese Medicine Hospital and fully support the development of Chinese medicine. With the long history of Chinese medicine, Professor Lee hoped that the collaboration between practitioners of Chinese medicine and Western medicine could be further promoted to enhance and complement each other for the benefit of patients. The University thanked Professor Lee for his benevolence and pledged to devote its best efforts towards promoting the modernisation and internationalisation of Chinese medicine.
