HKBU receives technical support from NVIDIA for research on A.I. and deep learning technology

NVIDIA Corporation recently offered cutting-edge technical support to two research projects of the University. One is a research project entitled “Artificial Intelligence (A.I.)-powered recommender in adaptive personalised learning for community engagement group project” by the General Education Office, and the other is a study entitled “Meshfree approximations for high dimensional manifolds and machine learning” by the Department of Mathematics. The tech giant will provide HKBU researchers with its professional GPU computing service and platform for their studies on A.I. and deep learning technology.
NVIDIA is a world leading company in A.I. and deep learning technology. The collaboration, coupled with the research expertise of HKBU scholars, is expected to fuel tremendous technological advancement for the benefit of the academia, the industry and the wider community.
Last year, NVIDIA also provided technical support to a research project of the Department of Computer Science, as a joint collaboration with the University to facilitate the application of A.I. and big data analytics in disease control and prevention as well as health records and data management.
