22 July 2021

The Sun Museum, funded by the Simon Suen Foundation, Honorary Permanent President of the HKBU Foundation, is holding an exhibition entitled “Sports in Hong Kong Art”.

The Opening Ceremony has been held recently. Officiating guests included Mr. Vincent Liu, JP, Director of Leisure and Cultural Services; Mr. Kenneth Fok, JP, Chairman of Culture Action; Ms. Judy Inn, Director of Art Next Expo; Dr. Simon Suen, BBS, JP, and Ms. Chloe Suen, Founding Chairman and Chair respectively of the Simon Suen Foundation; and Mr. Yeung Chun Tong, Director of the Sun Museum.

Organised by the Sun Museum with the support of Culture Action and Art Next, the exhibition presents over 70 pieces of artwork from 38 Hong Kong artists, which are mostly created this year. These artists have employed different artistic styles and mediums to portray the theme of sports: ranging from realistic portraits of athletes, scenes of active movements in competitions, to abstract expressionism, each with its specific character. Through art, the exhibition aspires to promote sports and the spirit of athletes.

The public can enjoy free admission by appointment and the exhibition will be held until 25 September 2021. Please click here for details.
