HKBU receives donation from Chiang Chen Industrial Charity Foundation to set up scholarship

With the support of the Chiang Chen Industrial Charity Foundation, the University has recently established the “Chiang Chen Industrial Charity Foundation Scholarship”, which aims at encouraging young people to pursue academic excellence and to be more actively involved in the development of industrial technologies in Hong Kong.

Starting from the academic year of 2020/21, two awards of HK$22,500 each will be granted annually to full-time Year 2 or Year 3 local undergraduate students studying the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Business Computing and Data Analytics. The scholarship recipients should possess distinguished academic results and outstanding personal qualities.

The Chiang Chen Industrial Charity Foundation was established in 1990 by Dr. the Hon. Chiang Chen, GBM, OBE, a prominent leader in the industrial sector and a much respected role model for industrialists in Mainland China. Through various activities, programmes and scholarships in particular, the Foundation sets sight on trainings to develop talents in industrial technologies and management, thereby advancing the development in production technologies and scientific research.
