Three members of the HKBU Foundation and a donor of the University were recently appointed as Members of the Commission on Poverty (CoP) by the HKSAR Government. Ms. Christina Maisenne Lee, Member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation and Director of Wofoo Social Enterprises and Wofoo Foundation Limited, was appointed as Non-official Member of CoP and Member of the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund Task Force for the Commission. Mr. Kevin Orr, Member of the Young Entrepreneur Committee of the HKBU Foundation and Group Vice President & Chief Investment Officer of Winner Medical Group; Professor Siu Wai Sum, Senior Member of the HKBU Foundation and Professor of the Department of Marketing of HKBU; and Ms. Cecilia Ho Chung Chee, President of the Lee Hysan Foundation, donor of the University, were appointed as Co-opted Members of the Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Fund Task Force. Their appointments will take effect from 1 July 2020 to 31 December 2022 for a term of two and a half years.

Meanwhile, Ms. Christina Lee was also re-appointed as Non-official Member of the Harbourfront Commission for a term of two years with effect from 1 July 2020.
