Mr. Cheung Leong, Executive Director of Charities and Community of The Hong Kong Jockey Club, and Mrs. Loretta Shuen Leung Lai Sheung, Honorary Vice-President of the HKBU Foundation, were awarded Honorary Fellowship by Lingnan University on 17 June 2020, in recognition of their significant accomplishments and contributions to education and the community.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club has been a staunch supporter of HKBU, contributing generously to the University’s advancement through The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, while Mrs. Shuen, together with her husband Mr. Alex Shuen, has been very supportive of HKBU by establishing the Mrs. Shuen Cheung Mo Hang Outstanding Student Scholarship and the Mr. Shuen Hoi Fung Memorial Scholarship.
