School of Chinese Medicine receives donations of surgical masks

11 February 2020

In view of the shortage of surgical masks in Hong Kong, several donors have donated a number of surgical masks towards the clinics operated by the School of Chinese Medicine fighting against the novel coronavirus outbreak.

A dedicated donor and the Lions & Hong Kong Baptist University Chinese Medicine Charity Foundation have respectively donated 10,000 and 5,000 masks, while the Tsim Sha Tsui District KaiFong Welfare Association has donated 600 surgical masks particularly for medical staff. All the masks have been delivered to the School of Chinese Medicine.

Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development), expressed his deep gratitude to the donors, as their donations have helped alleviate the pressing demand for surgical masks at the clinics which aspire to provide quality Chinese medicine healthcare service to the community.
