Dr. the Hon. Moses Cheng Mo Chi, GBM, GBS, OBE, JP, Member of the Board of Governors of the HKBU Foundation, was appointed by the HKSAR Government as Non-official Member of the Honours and Non-official Justices of the Peace Selection Committee, while Dr. the Hon. Bernard Charnwut Chan, GBS, JP, President of the Asia Financial Group, Senior Member of the HKBU Foundation, and The Hon. Regina Ip Lau Suk Yee, GBS, JP, donor of the University, were re-appointed as Non-official Members of the Committee. These appointments took effect from 1 January 2020 for a year.

Dr. Cheng is currently Consultant of P.C. Woo & Co., while Dr. Chan is Convenor of the Executive Council of HKSAR, and Mrs. Ip is Member of the Legislative Council.
