Recent Developments at HKBU 大學最新發展 Innovation 創新科研 At HKBU, top-quality researchers are dedicated to conducting impactful research in response to emerging global challenges. Recent successes include a novel drug developed by HKBU’s Chinese medicine experts for the treatment of the rare myofibrillar myopathy disease, which has become the first botanical drug in Hong Kong to obtain the orphan drug designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The results of these efforts to bolster its teaching and research excellence are well reflected in HKBU’s steady rise in global university rankings. The University also cares greatly about nurturing young people with different talents.
