53 In Memoriam 永遠懷念 The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Dr. Eddy Li Sau Hung, GBS, JP, Chairman of Campell Holdings Limited and Director of the HKBU Foundation, on 25 March 2024. Dr. Li was a renowned industrialist and business leader, widely recognised for his remarkable achievements in driving the industrial and economic transformation of Hong Kong. He was also a longtime friend of HKBU, rendering ardent support for the University’s development on various fronts. Alongside his role as an Honorary Court Member of HKBU, Dr. Li was a former consultant to the University’s China Studies Programme and a generous benefactor who established scholarships through Campell Holdings Limited. He will always be remembered for his distinguished contributions to HKBU. 香港浸會大學基金會董金寶控股有限公司主席李秀恒博士，GBS，JP於2024年3月25日辭世， 基金同仁深表哀悼。 李博士為工商界翹楚，積極推動工業轉型和拓展新型經濟活動，成就有目共睹。他與浸大的情誼 深厚，除出任浸大諮議會榮譽委員外，早年亦曾擔任本校中國研究課程顧問，並透過金寶控股有 限公司慷慨捐設獎學金，鼎力支持浸大各領域之發展。大學同仁定必銘記李博士對浸大發展所作 出的傑出貢獻。 Dr. Eddy Li Sau Hung, GBS, JP 李秀恒博士，GBS，JP The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Dr. David Ho Tzu Cho, Honorary Chairman of The S.H. Ho Foundation Limited, Honorary Trustee of the HKBU Foundation, on 28 March 2024 at the age of 101. Dr. Ho was a distinguished banker and entrepreneur, as well as a lifelong philanthropist dedicated to education, medical services, and helping the underprivileged. The Sin Hang Campus at HKBU, named in honour of Dr. Ho’s father, exemplifies the Ho family’s generosity in supporting various University initiatives, including the establishment of the Wai Hang Sports Centre and the David C. Lam Building. In 2021, Dr. Ho was conferred the degree of Doctor of Social Sciences, honoris causa, by the University in recognition of his remarkable achievements and exemplary service to society.
