27 Introduction to the Foundation 基金簡介 Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation 香港浸會大學基金 Board of Governors 董事局 Foundation Secretariat 基金秘書處 Young Entrepreneur Committee 青年企業家委員會 Entrepreneur Committee 企業家委員會 Alumni Committee 校友委員會 Founded in 2009, the Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation undertakes to secure funding resources to sustain HKBU’s development in every sphere and in fulfilment of its mission to deliver Whole Person Education. As set out in its Institutional Strategic Plan 2018-2028, the University strives to offer the best student experience, promote research excellence and build capacity in human capital and campus facilities. Our vision is to be a leading, research-led, liberal arts University in Asia for the world, delivering academic excellence in a caring, creative and global culture. Serving as the University’s solid financial bedrock in support of its ongoing advancement, the Foundation allocates donations in accordance with the donors’ wishes to support the following major types of initiatives. They are: - University’s Strategic Development - Transdisciplinary Education - Research Projects - Chinese Medicine Clinical Research and Preparatory Work for the Operation of Hong Kong’s First-ever Chinese Medicine Hospital - Art-Tech Initiatives - Campus Development - Internationalisation and Student Exchange - Extended Study Programme in the Greater Bay Area - First-Generation University Student Fund - Student Scholarships and Bursaries - Innovative Service-Learning - Student Hostel Under the Foundation, a number of development and research funds have been set up. They are prudently managed, with the annual investment income appropriated to finance the University’s endeavours. Appointed by the University’s Council, in conjunction with the President and Vice-Chancellor, the Board of Governors is responsible for the management of the Foundation to ensure that it consistently supports the University’s advancement projects. The Foundation has three standing committees, namely the Entrepreneur Committee, the Young Entrepreneur Committee and the Alumni Committee. They are responsible for giving advice and recommendations to the Board on the formulation of fundraising strategies and the extension of the University’s support base. 香港浸會大學基金於2009年成立，致力 籌募額外的經費資源，推動大學各領域的 持續發展，實踐全人教育的使命。大學制 訂了策略發展計劃2018-2028，致力為學生 提供最佳的學習體驗，促進卓越研究，建立 雄厚實力，俾使浸大成為一所領先亞洲、 立足世界的研究型博雅大學，並在關愛、 創意、國際化的氛圍中發揮學術卓越。 香港浸會大學基金全面配合大學發展的 需要，基金會根據捐款人的意願，把捐獻 用於推行大學以下主要發展項目： - 大學策略發展 - 跨學科教育 - 科研項目 - 中醫藥臨床研究及營運香港首間中醫醫院 的籌備工作 - 藝術科技項目 - 校園拓展 - 校園國際化及學生交流 - 大灣區延伸學習計劃 - 第一代大學生基金 - 學生獎學金及助學金 - 創新服務學習 - 學生宿舍 基金下設有多項發展及研究基金，以審慎 理財的原則管理，每年調撥有關投資收益， 用以支持不同的大學項目。 基金由浸大校董會聯同校長委任的董事局 監管，並以大學的發展為依歸。董事局轄下 設有「企業家委員會」、「青年企業家 委員會」及「校友委員會」，負責就制定 策略性籌款方案及拓闊社會網絡方面提供 寶貴意見。
