25 University’s Recent Developments 大學最新發展 HKBU’s School of Business was named Higher Education Champion at the LinkedIn Hong Kong Talent Awards 2023-2024. This was recognition of the outstanding efforts of the School’s BBA Programme in advocating e-Learning and nurturing future-ready students through innovative e-Learning requirements. The Programme requires students to complete 40 hours of LinkedIn Learning, which encourages students to leverage online tools and engage in active learning tailored to their interests and career aspirations. 浸大工商管理學院榮獲LinkedIn HK Talent Awards的「高等 教育冠軍」獎項,肯定了學院及其工商管理學士課程在推 動電子學習,以及透過創新教學方法培養學生面向未來的 努力。課程要求學生完成40小時LinkedIn線上訓練課程, 以鼓勵他們利用線上工具,根據興趣和職業目標積極學習。 Five BUers were honoured at the 18th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards: Professor Ge Liang, Professor of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, was named Artist of the Year (Literary Arts); Dr. Gabriel Tsang, Assistant Professor of the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, won the Award for Young Artist (Arts Criticism); Dr. Warren Mok, Honorary University Fellow, was bestowed the Award for Outstanding Contribution in Arts; Dr. Herman Yau, Honorary University Fellow and alumnus, was named Artist of the Year (Film); and Mr. Ho Cheuk Tin, alumnus, received the Award for Young Artist. 五位浸大人於「第18屆香港藝術發展獎」獲表揚藝術成 就:中國語言文學系教授葛亮教授榮獲藝術家年獎(文學 藝術);中國語言文學系助理教授曾繁裕博士獲頒藝術新秀 獎(藝術評論);榮譽大學院士莫華倫博士榮獲傑出藝術貢 獻獎;榮譽大學院士及校友邱禮濤博士獲頒藝術家年獎(電 影);校友何爵天先生則獲得藝術新秀獎(電影)。 Four HKBU students have been named Fellows under the “University Innovation Fellows” (UIF) programme run by Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design, which empowers students to be agents of change at their respective institutions. The four students completed six weeks of online training and attended the “UIF Meetup 2024” in the Netherlands, where they engaged with Fellows from around the world. 浸大四名學生獲美國史丹福大學「哈索.普拉特納設計 學院」舉辦的「國際大學雙創學者」計劃授予「雙創學者」稱 號。該計劃旨在培養學生成為所屬院校創新求變的推動者。 他們接受了六星期的網上培訓,並在荷蘭舉行的高峰會與 世界各地的「雙創學者」交流。 Professor Daya Thussu of HKBU’s Department of Journalism was elected as the 13th President of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR).
