11 Impact of Giving 捐獻的力量 Music and sports are crucial to whole person development of young people. Hence we are proud to be the leading music partner in the six-year JC Project MuSE, a music and sports education programme for underprivileged children. Through this Project, we hope to bring transformative changes to 1,800 underprivileged children from 15 primary schools by enhancing their social, emotional and cognitive development. It is also an important initiative in transforming the future of education in sports and music, enabling HKBU to conduct research to gain a better understanding of the impact of sports and music on individuals’ well-being, particularly for underprivileged students. We believe this will create a valuable research opportunity for both our students and scholars. 音樂和運動對兒童的全人發展至關重要。我們很榮幸成為   「賽馬會樂動人生計劃」的音樂策動夥伴，透過這項為期六年、為 基層兒童而設的音樂及運動教育計劃，我們將為 15 所小學的 1,800 名基層兒童提供音樂和運動教育，藉此加強他們社交、情緒管理 和認知的能力。這項計劃亦有助塑造未來的運動及音樂教育，協 助浸大進行研究，了解運動和音樂如何有助基層學生的全人發 展，相信能為我們的師生帶來寶貴的研究機會。 Professor Johnny M. Therefore, I am grateful to be a recipient of the Swire University Scholarship. The generous support of the donor has offered me the opportunity to further my studies, as well as participate in academic exchanges and extra-curricular activities to broaden my horizons and acquire different skills.
