11 Impact of Giving 捐獻的力量 BOC-HKBU Chinese Medicine Community Stroke Prevention and Rehabilitation Scheme https://www.facebook.com/BUSKH.cmcsp2020 HKBU has been providing professional Chinese medicine services to the community and actively promoting Chinese medicine education, research and healthcare services in Hong Kong. The three-year “BOC-HKBU Chinese Medicine Community Stroke Prevention and Rehabilitation Scheme” provides treatment and rehabilitation for 400 post-stroke patients and offers preventive medicines to 1,200 elderly people at high risk of stroke. Apart from reducing public healthcare expenses, improving the quality of life of stroke patients, and increasing the success rate of rehabilitation initiatives, the Scheme can serve as a good example for constructing a community medical service management model based on collaboration between the Chinese medicine sector and the community. 浸大一直致力為市民提供專業中醫醫療服務，積極推動香港的 中醫藥教育、研究和醫療保健服務。為期三年的「中銀—浸大 中醫中風預防及康復計劃」旨在為 400 名中風人士進行康復治療 及為 1,200 名中風高風險長者提供預防中風的藥物。此計劃不僅 可以減省公共醫療開支，改善中風病人的生活質素及提高康復 的成功率，更可以為建構中醫醫社合作的社區醫療服務管理模 式提供優良典範。 Professor Bian Zhaoxiang, MH Associate Vice-President (Chinese Medicine Development), HKBU 卞兆祥教授， MH 香港浸會大學協理副校長（中醫藥發展） With the support of the HKBU SEED Fund, I was able to participate in organising various business and policy-related activities with less financial concerns during the four-month unpaid internship at the Asia Society Hong Kong Center. Through the internship, I have learnt different professional skills and further explored my interests and career paths. I would like to thank each and every donor of the Fund.
