2 Chairman’s Report 主席報告 Many initiatives at HKBU are jointly launched by our insightful supporters and the University as we share a common vision. In this way, resources from various channels can be effectively combined with the University’s professional expertise and research to accommodate the needs of our society, thereby strategically creating a higher value for the donations. 不少捐贈項目是由一群高瞻遠矚、志同道合的社會人士與大學結伴攜手，洞悉社會的需要，抱着共同的目標， 匯聚各方的資源，結合大學的專業知識和研究，有策略地創造比捐款本身更高的價值。 On behalf of the HKBU Foundation, may I take this opportunity to wish you all the best for the Year of the Rabbit, with all sectors and industries in Hong Kong walking out of the shadow of COVID-19 and entering a new period of prosperity. In the past year, in spite of a gloomy economic outlook due to the pandemic, rising energy prices and escalating geopolitical risks, the Foundation was able to achieve impressive fundraising results in support of the University’s advancement.
