Introduction to the Foundation 基金簡介 25 Founded in 2009, the Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation undertakes to secure funding resources to sustain HKBU’s development in every sphere and in fulfilment of its mission to deliverWhole Person Education. As set out in its Institutional Strategic Plan 2018-2028, the University strives to offer the best student experience, promote research excellence and build capacity in human capital and campus facilities. Our vision is to be a leading, research-led, liberal arts University in Asia for the world, delivering academic excellence in a caring, creative and global culture. Serving as the University’s solid financial bedrock in support of its ongoing advancement, the Foundation allocates donations in accordance with the donors’ wishes to support the following major types of initiatives. They are: - University’s Strategic Development - Chinese Medicine Clinical Research and Preparatory Work for the Operation of Hong Kong’s First-ever Chinese Medicine Hospital - Campus Master Plan - Talent100 Initiative - Teaching and Learning Projects - Research Projects - Internationalisation and Student Exchange - Student Hostel - Student Scholarships and Bursaries - Innovative Service-Learning - HKBU SEED Fund - First-Generation University Student Fund Under the Foundation, a number of development and research funds have been set up. They are prudently managed with the annual investment income appropriated to finance the University’s endeavours. Appointed by the University’s Council, in conjunction with the President and Vice-Chancellor, the Board of Governors is responsible for the management of the Foundation to ensure that it consistently supports the University’s advancement projects. The Foundation has three standing committees, namely the Entrepreneur Committee, theYoung Entrepreneur Committee and the Alumni Committee. They are responsible for giving advice and recommendations to the Board on the formulation of fundraising strategies and the extension of the University’s support base. 香港浸會大學基金於 2009 年成立，致力籌 募額外的經費資源，推動大學各領域的持 續發展，實踐全人教育的使命。大學制訂 了策略發展計劃 2018-2028 ，致力為學生提 供最佳的學習體驗，促進卓越研究，建立 雄厚實力，俾使浸大成為一所領先亞洲、 立足世界的研究型博雅大學，並在關愛、 創意、國際化的氛圍中發揮學術卓越。 香港浸會大學基金全面配合大學發展的需 要，基金會根據捐款人的意願，把捐獻用 於推行大學以下主要發展項目： - 大學策略發展 - 中醫 臨床研究及營運香港首間中醫 醫院的籌備工作 - 校園總體發展規劃 - 「人才 100 」計劃 - 教與學項目 - 研究項目 - 國際化及學生交流 - 學生宿舍 - 學生獎學金及助學金 - 創新服務學習 - 學生種子基金 - 第一代大學生基金 基金下設有多項發展及研究基金，以審慎 理財的原則管理，每年調撥有關投資收 益，用以支持不同項目。 基金由浸大校董會聯同校長委任的董事局 監管，並以大學的發展為依歸。董事局轄 下設有「企業家委員會」、「青年企業家委 員會」及「校友委員會」，負責就制定策略 性籌款方案及拓闊社會網絡方面提供寶貴 意見。 Hong Kong Baptist University Foundation 香港浸會大學基金 Board of Governors 董事局 Foundation Secretariat 基金秘書處 Young Entrepreneur Committee 青年企業家委員會 Entrepreneur Committee 企業家委員會 Alumni Committee 校友委員會
