Operating Hong Kong’s First-ever Chinese Medicine Hospital 營運香港首間中醫醫院 17 Innovative Research 創新科研 The CMH’s clinical trials facilities will facilitate research and the development of more effective Chinese medicine drugs and therapies for diseases including gastrointestinal diseases, bone and joint diseases, inflammation and tumours, neurodegenerative diseases, etc., thereby enhancing Hong Kong’s standards in Chinese medicine clinical research and improving the competitiveness of Hong Kong’s Chinese medicine pharmaceutical products regionally and even internationally. The University will also devote substantial resources to the application of technology in Chinese medicine research , such as a clinical data IT system that involves big data analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence, as well as intelligent wearable monitoring devices. 中醫醫院的臨床測試設施，有助 研發療效更佳的中醫藥和  療法 ，重點的疾病領域包括胃腸道疾病、骨關節疾病、炎 症與腫瘤、神經退行性疾病等，從而提升本港中醫 臨床研 究水平，並讓本港的中醫 產品在地區以致國際上更具競  爭力。浸大亦將大力 促進科技在中醫藥研究上的應用 ，如建 立應用大數據分析、機器學習及人工智能的醫療數據資訊系 統，以及研發可穿戴的智能檢測設施。 Patient-centric Clinical Services 病人為本醫療服務 In view of the ageing population, the CMH will maximise the advantage of Chinese medicine’s focus on personalised care, and it will strengthen the community healthcare service network and alleviate the medical burden of society by implementing Chinese medicine’s approach to disease prevention, treatment and wellbeing. Being the operator of the CMH, HKBU will make it a smart, patient-centric hospital and explore a new healthcare model that has the potential to reform our medical services , and it will enable the public to enjoy more comprehensive and quality healthcare services. 面對人口老年化，中醫醫院將發揮中醫個人化治療的優勢，並從 預防、治療和保健入手，強化社區醫療服務網絡，減輕社會整體 的醫療負擔。浸大作為營運機構，將會致力把中醫醫院打造為一 所 以病人為本的智能醫院，並探討新的醫療模式，為醫療服務帶 來變革 ，讓公眾享有更高質素的綜合醫療服務。 Cross-disciplinary collaborations 跨領域協作 The CMH will facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration in different areas: Chinese medicine collaborations in the Greater Bay Area, and among the Belt and Road countries and the global community; collaborations between Chinese medicine and the professional disciplines of Western medicine, nursing and physiotherapy to enhance disease prevention and treatment standards; and the strengthening of collaborations between the Government, industry, academia and research bodies to expedite knowledge transfer. 中醫醫院亦將會在多方面促進跨領域協作，包括大灣區、一帶一路及國際上的中醫 合作；中醫 與西醫、護理、物理 治療等專業領域的合作，以提升疾病預防和治療的水平；並強化政府、產業、學界和研究機構的合作，加快知識轉移。 Quality Education and Training 優質教學及培訓 On the training of Chinese medicine talent, the CMH will become a practicum base for Chinese medicine and pharmacy students from universities and other training bodies in Hong Kong, and it will offer greater flexibility for the nurturing of industry professionals. 在中醫 人才培訓上，中醫醫院將為香港各間大學和培訓 機構提供 中醫及中藥學生實習基地 ，為培育業界專才提供 更大彈性。
