51 In Memoriam 永遠懷念 The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Dr. Philip Wong Yu Hong, GBS, donor of the University, on 6 June 2021 in the USA. He was 82 years old. Dr. Wong was a member of the former Legislative Council, the Provisional Legislative Council and the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and served as a Hong Kong deputy to the National People’s Congress, contributing significantly to the country’s development. He was awarded the Gold Bauhinia Star in 2003. Dr. Wong was Chairman of Winco Paper Products Company Limited. In his various public service roles, he contributed to the effective communication between the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce and the Hong Kong Government. Dr. Wong first donated to the University in 2005 in support of the Cinema and Television Department Development Fund. He also supported the strategic development of the University over the years. Dr. Wong will always be remembered for his invaluable contributions to Hong Kong and the University. 香港浸會大學捐款人黃宜弘博士, GBS 於 2021 年 6 月 6 日在美國辭世,享年 82 歲,基金同仁深 表哀悼。 黃博士曾任前立法局、臨時立法會和特區立法會議員,他也曾擔任港區人大代表,參議國 事,為國家發展作出貢獻。他於 2003 年獲頒授金紫荊星章。黃博士為永固紙業有限公司 主席,長期參與公共和社區服務,在不同公職崗位促進香港中華總商會和政府之間的溝通。 黃博士認同浸大的辦學理念,於 2005 年捐資支持浸大有關電影電視的發展基金,又支持大學 的策略發展。大學同仁定必銘記黃博士對香港及浸大所作出的貢獻。 Dr. PhilipWong Yu Hong 黃宜弘博士 The HKBU Foundation records with deepest sorrow the passing of Mrs. Sze Ng Shuk Man, donor of the University, on 2 September 2021. She was 85 years old. Mrs. Sze was dedicated to public service together with her husband Dr. Sze Chi Ching, SBS, JP and their four sons, Mr. Ivis Sze, Mr. Irons Sze, Mr. Ivan Sze and Mr. Jaime Sze, especially in education and in charitable work on the Mainland and in Hong Kong. The Sze family is also a long-standing supporter of HKBU. In 2009, they generously donated HK$5 million in support of the University’s institutional advancement and its Advanced Institute for Contemporary China Studies. In recognition of the Sze family’s generosity, an exhibition gallery on the first and second floors of the Wing Lung Bank Building for Business Studies was named the Dr. and Mrs. Sze Chi Ching Exhibition Gallery. Dr. Sze and Mrs. Sze also made a donation in support of the Albert and Mabel Chan Exchange Scholarship in 2015. Mrs. Sze will always be remembered for her zealous support and significant contributions to the University’s development. 香港浸會大學捐款人施吳淑敏女士於 2021 年 9 月 2 日辭世,享年 85 歲,基金同仁深表哀悼。 施夫人與夫婿施子清博士, SBS , JP 及其四位公子施榮怡院士、施榮懷先生、施榮恆先生及 施榮忻先生均長期參與社會事務,關注中港兩地教育及慈善事業。施博士家族為浸大長期支 持者,早於 2009 年已向浸大慷慨捐贈港幣五百萬元,用以支持大學的整體發展及當代中國研 究所的工作。為鳴謝他們的慷慨捐資,大學將位於香港浸會大學逸夫校園永隆銀行商學大樓 一樓及二樓的展覽廳命名為「施子清博士伉儷展覽廳」。多年來,他們對浸大關愛有加,亦於 2015 年慷慨捐資支持陳新滋伉儷交流獎學金,惠澤莘莘學子。大學同仁定必銘記她對浸大發 展的熱心支持和重大貢獻。 Mrs. Sze Ng Shuk Man 施吳淑敏女士
