5 Chairman’s Report 主席報告 機構的大額捐款或資助,為教學、研究以至社 區作出貢獻,當中包括: • 馬百良葯廠有限公司慷慨雅諾捐資,支持 設立「馬百良創新神經 物教授席」,推動 創新神經 物領域的研究; • NVIDIA Corporation 提供其電腦運算專業服 務,支持計算機科學系推動一項名為「人工 智能和大數據分析於促進社會公益的應用」 的研究,此項目將應用於疾病控制、預防 以及健康記錄數據管理; • 南海航空貨運(香港)有限公司董事長徐莉 院士, BBS , JP 慷慨捐資成立「徐莉學生培育 基金」,以支持大學的「 SEED 計劃」; • 東莞市興業貿易發展有限公司董事長鄭澤 權院士慷慨捐資,用以設立「鄭澤權先生緊 急援助基金」,資助有經濟困難的浸大學生 順利完成學業。 未來數年,浸大正進入一個發展的黃金時代, 大型項目包括營運中醫醫院的籌備工作、興建 新校園建設—賽馬會創意校園、設立六所跨 學科實驗室、善衡校園重建計劃等,均需要籌 募龐大的資源。因此,香港浸會大學基金任重 道遠,需要籌募更多捐款,襄助浸大成就教育 事業,培育未來領袖,推進教研工作,惠澤  社群,期盼能繼續得到大家支持。 黃英豪議員, BBS , JP 董事局主席 香港浸會大學基金 received substantial donations from our supporters designated for an array of teaching, research and community projects. They included: • Ma Pak Leung Co., Ltd. gave a generous donation pledge designated for the establishment of the Ma Pak Leung Endowed Professorship in Innovative Neuromedicine, strengthening the University’s capacity in the research and development of innovative neuromedicine; • The NVIDIA Corporation has pledged to provide GPU computing service to the Department of Computer Science for a research project entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics for Social Good”, which is related to electronic health records and data management; • Ms. Eileen Tsui, BBS, JP, Managing Director of Nankai Transport International (HK) Co., Ltd., has established the “Eileen Tsui Student Enrichment Fund” to support the University’s Project SEED initiative; • Mr. Cheng Chak Kuen, Chairman of Dongguan Xingye Trade Development Company Limited, set up the “Mr. Cheng Chak Kuen Emergency Financial Relief Fund” under Project SEED, supporting financially needy local undergraduate students in pursuing their studies at HKBU. In the next few years, HKBU will be engaged in a number of large-scale capital projects that are crucial to its development. The preparatory work for the Chinese Medicine Hospital project, the construction of the Campus of Creativity, the establishment of the six interdisciplinary laboratories, as well as the redevelopment of the Ho Sin Hang Campus, require huge investments. In this regard, the HKBU Foundation will strive its utmost to secure donations to help the University fulfil its educational aspirations, benefitting society by nurturing future leaders and conducting impactful research.
