University’s Recent Developments 大學最新發展 23 Three HKBU students and one alumna achieved exemplary performances at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Sarah Lee Wai Sze (Creative and Professional Writing) competed in track cycling; Daniel Chan Ho Yuen (Physical Education and Recreation Management) in wheelchair badminton; Chan Chung Wang (Physical Education and Recreation Management) in athletics (hurdles); and Alumna Ho Yuen Kei in boccia. Both Sarah Lee and Daniel Chan won bronze medals. 三位浸大同學及一位校友在 2020 東京奧運會及殘疾人奧運會 取得出色表現。李慧詩(創意及專業寫作)參加場地單車賽; 陳浩源(體育及康樂管理)出戰輪椅羽毛球賽事;陳仲泓(體育 及康樂管理)參加田徑(跨欄)項目;校友何宛淇則參與硬地滾 球比賽。李慧詩及陳浩源各奪得一面銅牌。 The Jockey Club Brain Invigoration and Gross Motor Activation Programme organised by HKBU’s Dr. Stephen Hui Research Centre for Physical Recreation and Wellness received the Bronze Prize of the Smart Ageing Award for Health Care and Well-Being from the Golden Age Foundation. Designed by cognitive psychologists and exercise scientists, the Programme provided a combination of cognitive-cum-physical game-oriented activities, talks, workshops and training that aimed at enhancing participants’ cognitive functions and physical fitness. 浸大許士芬博士體康研究中心推行的「賽馬會活腦健體計劃」, 獲黃金時代基金會頒發「智齡世代大獎」康健服務及優質生活 組別銅獎。計劃由認知心理學家和運動科學家開發,集合體能 暨認知遊戲活動、講座、工作坊及訓練,旨在提高參與者的認 知功能和身體素質。 Four HKBU scholars and alumni were recognised at the 15th Hong Kong Arts Development Awards: Dr. Chu Siu Cheung (Language Centre) was Artist of the Year (Arts Criticism); Dr. Lau Wai Shing (Department of Humanities and Creative Writing) was Artist of the Year (Literary Arts); Dr. Austin Yip (Department of Music) and Alumna Norris Wong received the Award for Young Artist in the Music and Film categories respectively. 四位浸大學者和校友於「第十五屆香港藝術發展獎」獲頒殊 榮:語文中心朱少璋博士和人文及創作系劉偉成博士分別 獲頒藝術評論及文學藝術組別的「藝術家年獎」;音樂系葉 浩堃博士和校友黃綺琳分別獲得音樂及電影組別的「藝術 新秀獎」。 Led by Professor Ken Yung from the Department of Biology and Ma Pak Leung Endowed Professor in Innovative Neuromedicine, a study conducted by an HKBU research team found a significant association between exposure to PM2.5 and neurological disorders.
