9 Over the past five years, the University is profoundly grateful to have successfully secured donations, donation pledges and matching funds amounting to HK$2 billion from our staunch supporters, friends and the community. These substantial financial resources are invaluable for supporting the University’s strategic development and bolstering its teaching and research capabilities. One of the notable projects is the Jockey Club Campus of Creativity, which is the biggest such development in our University’s history and will hugely expand our University’s geographic and intellectual footprint. It seems like only yesterday that I joined the HKBU family, but today I am writing my last President’s Message for our Annual Report. The past five years have been a most fulfilling experience, with every moment purposeful and unforgettable. It has been my distinct honour to have developed close friendships with numerous dedicated members of the HKBU Foundation and long-standing supporters and friends who share our vision of education. I owe a great debt of gratitude to them for their wise counsel and tremendous support for the University’s strategic development. They have greatly enriched our University. Taking this opportunity, I would also like to extend my best wishes to Professor Alexander Wai Ping-kong, the new President and Vice-Chancellor. With Professor Wai’s outstanding academic achievements and extensive experience in higher education, the University under his capable leadership will continue to scale new heights. Roland T. Chin President Chair Professor of Computer Science 過去五年，浸大有幸得到一眾友好及各界人士 的鼎力支持，籌募的捐款連同雅諾捐資及配對 補助金的總額逾港幣 20 億元，我謹向他們衷 心致謝。他們的支持有助大學實現策略發展 計劃，提升教研實力，其中的「賽馬會創意校 園」不僅大大增加校園面積，更可拓展大學的 創意學術空間，是浸大建校以來最大規模的基 建項目。 時光荏苒，在撰寫最後一篇「校長獻辭」時， 我深感過去五年工作之充實，亦十分感恩能夠 與很多志同道合的香港浸會大學基金會員、  支持者及友好建立深厚的情誼，他們對浸大關 愛有加，就推動大學的策略發展，出謀獻策， 無私奉獻，實在令我銘感於心；全賴他們努 力，浸大才能不斷邁進。 藉此，我亦向新任校長衞炳江教授送上祝福。 衞教授的學術成就超卓，高等教育經驗豐富， 在他帶領下，浸大定必更上一層樓，創建更  美好未來。 錢大康 校長 計算機科學系講座教授 President's Message 校長獻辭
