5 Chairman's Report 主席報告 破紀錄籌款成績 適逢政府於 2019 年推出第八輪配對補助金 計劃及研究配對補助金計劃，大學可利用捐 款申請政府配對，令捐款的效益倍增。感激 各界對大學的關愛，自 2019 年 7 月至 2020 年 12 月底，大學一共收到港幣 7.78 億元捐款， 並透過兩項配對補助金，取得港幣 3.47 億元  補助金，連同港幣 7.1 億元的雅諾捐款，合共  取得港幣 18.3 億元破紀錄的佳績。此外，香港 浸會大學基金的會員人數亦迅速增長，增至 2020 年 12 月底的 773 人，增幅達 490% 。大學 取得驕人的籌款成績，除了衷心感謝各界對大 學的支持，我亦要特別感謝榮休校長錢大康教 授的高瞻遠矚和卓越領導，他在任內為本校確 立策略發展，帶領浸大在國際上走上博雅教育 的前沿，聲譽與日俱增。 新任校長衞炳江教授於 2 0 2 1 年 2 月到任，  衞教授是香港高等教育界的傑出領袖，更是  光纖通訊領域的專家，相信憑藉其豐富的  經驗，將帶領大學再創高峰。在疫情的新常 態下，香港浸會大學基金將繼續肩負籌款的  重任，凝聚各方力量，籌集資源，推動大學  展翅騰飛，為社會及國家作出更大的貢獻。 黃英豪博士， BBS ， JP 董事局主席 香港浸會大學基金 Record-breaking fundraising result The HKSAR Government launched the Eighth Matching Grant Scheme and the Research Matching Grant Scheme in 2019. Universities in Hong Kong can apply for matching funds with the donations received so as to obtain maximum benefit from the schemes. From July 2019 to December 2020, the University received a total of HK$778 million in donations. Through the two matching grant schemes, HK$347 million in matching funds have been secured. Together with donation pledges amounting to HK$710 million, we have raised a record-breaking HK$1.83 billion. The membership of the HKBU Foundation has grown rapidly by 490% to 773 as of December 2020. Apart from thanking our donors, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Professor Roland T. Chin, President Emeritus of HKBU. With his visionary leadership, Professor Chin has set the path for HKBU to become a leading liberal arts university in Asia for the world and helped the University gain in its international standing. Professor Alexander Wai Ping-kong, the new President and Vice-Chancellor, joined us in February 2021. Professor Wai is an eminent leader in Hong Kong’s higher education sector as well as an expert in the field of optical fibre communications. With his wealth of experience in higher education, I am confident he will be able to take the University to the next level of excellence. Under the post-pandemic “new normal” conditions, the HKBU Foundation will continue to consolidate the support of various sectors and secure sufficient financial resources to ensure the advancement of the University, thereby contributing to society and the nation.
