4 Benefit students and the community In addition, we also received substantial donations from our supporters designated for an array of teaching and community initiatives. They included: • Professor Raymond R. Wong, SBS, a veteran of print and broadcast journalism, established the Dorothy Shen Wong Memorial Fund to support the strategic development and journalism education at our School of Communication; • With the support of the BOCHK Centenary Charity Programme, the School of Chinese Medicine launched the BOC – HKBU Chinese Medicine Community Stroke Prevention and Rehabilitation Scheme to help stroke patients and their carers; • Three endowed professorships in Chinese Medicine, Film and Television, and Music, as well as an endowed associate professorship in Chinese Medicine, have been established with the support of the Cheung On Tak Charity Foundation, Hung Hin Shiu Charitable Foundation Limited and the Vincent and Lily Woo Foundation; • Project SEED (HKBU SEED Fund) was launched to enhance the employability of our graduating students. The scheme has drawn numerous donations from our supporters, alumni and HKBU staff, particularly from senior management; • Supported by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, HKBU’s School of Continuing Education worked with secondary schools and industry partners to launch the CLAP- TECH Pathway, a project under the Jockey Club Multiple Pathways Initiative to develop an alternative study pathway for students and equip them with the skills needed for their career and personal development; • With the support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, the School of Chinese Medicine is developing a project – the Chinese Herb-Drug Interaction: Knowledge Generation, Application and Public Education, which will provide comprehensive information for Western and Chinese medicine practitioners to enable them to make better clinical decisions. 各項捐獻惠澤師生和大眾 除此之外,大學亦收到不少其他社會人士的捐 款,支持教學及關懷社區的創新項目,襄助大 學追求卓越,培育全人,當中包括: • 資深新聞工作者黃應士教授, SBS 慷慨捐資 成立「黃沈慧珍紀念基金」,推動本校傳理 學院的策略發展及新聞教育; • 中銀香港百年華誕慈善計劃贊助中醫藥學院 推出「中銀—浸大中醫社區中風預防及康復 計劃」,為中風患者及其照顧者提供支援; • 張安德慈善基金、孔憲紹慈善基金有限 公司及吳文政王月娥基金會分別慷慨捐資, 助大學透過「冠名教授席計劃」設立中醫藥 教授席、電影電視教授席、音樂教授席及 中醫藥副教授席,豐富大學的國際化人 才庫; • 為應屆畢業生及學生提供就業支援而新成 立的 SEED 計劃(學生種子基金),收到來自 各位友好、校友、大學管理層及教職員的 捐款響應; • 由浸大持續教育學院聯同中學及合作夥伴 推動的賽馬會多元出路計劃「鼓掌—創新 教育歷程」獲香港賽馬會慈善信託基金鼎 力支持,將在主流教育之中為香港年輕人 準備將來投身各種行業,幫助他們發展職 業及人生路向; • 獲香港賽馬會慈善信託基金支持,浸大中 醫藥學院正推行一項「中西藥相互作用、 知識建構、運用及公眾教育計劃」,日後可 供西醫及中醫師參考以作出更恰當的臨床 判斷。
